Rowan Chapman

Rowan Chapman is an accomplished executive leader in the biotech space, with experience spanning from start-up to Fortune 50 companies. She is a biochemistry and molecular biology PhD from the University of Cambridge and has done postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco. Rowan has worked on more than 80 deals in the areas of therapeutics, digital health, research tools, diagnostics, vaccines, and medical devices. Her extensive career includes serving on 12+ public and private boards, including investor and independent roles, and being part of eight venture exits.

At Johnson & Johnson, she served as Senior VP, Head of Innovation, Western North America, Australia & New Zealand, while at GE Healthcare, she was the Global Head of Healthcare Investing, Managing Director Healthcare Business Creation, and Head of Precision Diagnostics. She was also a partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures and a business consultant at the Allen Institute for Brain Science. Currently, she is a Co-Founder of Initiate Studios.
