Adriel Hampton

Adriel Hampton is a technology entrepreneur, political activist, investigator, and public speaker with a passion for using digital tools to improve government and society. He studied Rhetoric at the University of California, Berkeley, and Communications at San Joaquin Delta College.
Adriel has co-founded several digital projects, including The Really Online Lefty League and Pinpoint Predictive, and served as VP of Business Development at NationBuilder. He was also the founder of Gov 2.0 Radio, where he was the first person to use Twitter to announce a run for U.S. Congress.
Adriel is currently the Chief Strategist at The Adriel Hampton Group, where he manages a private training community for ActionSprout. He also serves as an advisory board member for LegiNation and OutreachCircle. Additionally, he frequently speaks on using technology to improve government and society. Before joining NationBuilder, Adriel worked as an investigator for San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera for six years.
In recognition of his work in open government, Adriel organized CityCamp San Francisco from 2009 to 2011 and was named "Citizen of the Year" by GovFresh in 2011. He was named one of Campaigns & Elections Magazine's Rising Stars of the political industry in 2013.
