Worked on the design and development of new methodologies and analytical tools for next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, focusing on cancer genomics. This included genome analysis and comparison, data analysis and visualisation activities to validate developments in new sequencing products pipeline.

- Provided strategic feedback and push for innovation and involvement in Open Source projects, to the company's leadership covering computational statistics and large-scale data analysis. 
- Lead the design and build of an analytical framework to capture and analyse the primary analysis metrics of NGS workflows. This framework is still used internally at Illumina today.
- Worked closely with the core BaseSpace team to develop APIs, and build SDKs for various programming languages to incentivise platform adoption by external developers. I focused on the academic community using the R/Bioconductor framework and Open Source software. I was a strong believer in the BaseSpace project, and I successfully increase platform adoption both internally and externally.
