Adil Haider is the Dean of Aga Khan University Medical College and a Professor of Surgery and Community Health Sciences. He is also a trauma surgeon, public health scientist, and the former Kessler Director of the Center for Surgery and Public Health at Harvard and Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Haider is credited with establishing the field of trauma disparities research and is known as one of the leading authorities in patient-centered outcomes research, having authored more than 350 publications. He has personally mentored over 150 researchers and is currently the Principal Investigator on extra-mural grants worth more than $20 million. His professional goal is to eradicate healthcare disparities and make healthcare safer and more patient-centered.

In 2014, Haider partnered with faculty colleagues and Silicon Valley tech innovators to co-found Doctella.com, a medical app that was named one of the 10 Best Medical Apps of 2015.
