Adil Dhanani

Adil Dhanani is a seasoned product designer with a passion for creating digital products that enhance user experiences.

During his tenure at Slack, Adil led the Activation design team, focusing on growth and self-serve business within the Expansion pillar. His team's responsibilities included optimizing the homepage, sign-up/in processes, workspace creation, onboarding, and feature education to ensure teams' success from the start.

At Uber, Adil managed a team of product designers across key program areas such as Marketplace, Shared Rides (Uber Pool), Uber Rewards, Subscriptions, and Promotions. Before transitioning to management, he spearheaded designing experiences for Developer Platform, Partnerships, and Uber Rewards.

Adil also contributed his design expertise at Apple, specifically on the iTunes Design team, where he worked on Apple Music and iTunes Connect.

His experience at Beats Music involved leading the design efforts for the music-streaming service, emphasizing curation and developing an internal tools framework for editors and content creators.

At OneID, Adil was pivotal in instilling a more user-centered approach within the company to simplify the process of signing into websites securely without passwords.

Beginning his career at Palm, Adil gained multifaceted experience in project management, user interface development, employee management, and interaction design.

Adil Dhanani's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He currently serves as the Director of Product Design at Handshake, after holding key roles at Slack and Uber, including Director, Principal Product Designer, and Design Manager respectively. Previously, he also contributed his design skills at Apple, Beats Music, OneID, and Palm across various design and managerial positions.
