Adele Waugaman is a senior strategist and policy professional with over 15 years of experience in leading digital transformation initiatives in collaboration with governments, civil society, multilateral organizations, and the private sector.
She currently holds the position of Senior Digital Health Advisor at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), where she is instrumental in shaping the Agency's policies concerning investments in digital technologies for health programs.
Adele is recognized as a thought leader in the field, serving as an expert advisor to various influential groups like the G7 Digital Health Working Group, the G20 Digital Health Task Force, and the UN Broadband Commission's Working Group for Digital and AI in Health.
She has a diverse background, having founded and managed Catalyst Advisory, LLC, providing strategic support using digital technologies in health, disaster relief, and global development efforts. Prior to this, she was the Senior Director of Technology Partnerships at the United Nations Foundation.
Additionally, Adele has authored and edited several reports on the impact of digitization on aid and development sectors, including publications like 'Fighting Ebola with Information' and 'Disaster Relief 2.0'. Before venturing into digital transformation, she worked in communications strategy for human rights and international humanitarian law advocacy organizations, as well as in journalism and public relations roles.
