Addie Lerner is the Founder and Managing Partner of Avid Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm that focuses on investing in fintech, consumer internet, and software companies. Before founding Avid Ventures in January 2020, she gained extensive experience in the investment industry. Lerner worked as a Principal at General Catalyst from 2017 to 2019 and as a Senior Associate in Internet & Technology at General Atlantic from 2014 to 2017. She also served as an Analyst in the Private Capital Investing (Special Situations Group) at Goldman Sachs from 2011 to 2014.1 2 3 4

Lerner has been recognized for her contributions to the fintech sector, being named one of NYC Fintech Women’s “50 Inspiring Fintech Females” in 2020 and featured in Forbes' “30 Under 30” Venture Capital list in 2019. She is actively involved in promoting women in venture capital and technology as a leader of All Raise’s New York City chapter.1 3

Educationally, Lerner graduated with honors from Princeton University in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, along with a certificate in Near Eastern Studies. Originally from Newton, Massachusetts, she now resides in New York City with her family.3
