Ryan Walsh is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in technology, management, public policy, and information science. He holds a Masters in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and studied Fellowship, Management, Technology, Public Policy and Information Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Ryan's expertise centers around using empathy and emotion to drive better, clearer, and more useful things into the world, with a strong belief in clear, crisp, simple design. He loves stories and fights for creators in his roles as an Operating Partner at Andreessen Horowitz and a former Partner at Floodgate. Ryan also serves on the advisory board for several organizations, including Q&A, Poparazzi, and The Consilience Project, and is the former Chief Product Officer at Splice and VP Product at Beats Music. Prior to his career in the tech industry, Ryan co-founded and served as the CTO at Pulselocker, which was later acquired by Beatport.com.
