Passionate about disrupting future kitchen tech. Inventor. Circular economy enthusiast. Founder & CEO at Millo appliances.
Adam Trakšelis is the co-founder and CEO of Millo appliances, a food-tech startup company based in Lithuania.34 He founded Millo with the mission of inspiring people to adopt healthier and more sustainable diets by developing innovative kitchen appliances.3
Trakšelis invented the Magnetic Air Drive (MAD) technology, which allows for contactless transfer of powerful torque in kitchen appliances.4 This innovation led to the development of Millo's flagship product - a smart, quiet, and cordless blender that uses magnetic technology instead of a traditional motor.12
The inspiration for Millo came from Trakšelis' personal experience. After waking up his newborn daughter while making smoothies with a noisy blender, he decided to reinvent the appliance.1 The idea for using magnets came to him while watching his daughter play with magnetic toys.1
Under Trakšelis' leadership, Millo has achieved several milestones:
- Raised €2 million in total investment3
- Successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017, raising over €100,0003
- Launched the Millo Air, an innovative cordless blender2
Trakšelis aims to expand Millo's product line beyond blenders, envisioning a sustainable kitchen where a single magnetic drive base can power multiple appliances.2 His goal is to address electronic waste issues in the home appliance industry while providing convenient, quiet, and efficient kitchen tools.12
