Adam Marchick

Adam Marchick is the Associate Director of Investments at Emory University, a position he has held since September 2019. In this role, he is responsible for managing the university's endowment, which exceeds $11 billion, and focuses on investing approximately $200 million annually in various funds and private companies. His work includes leading a $2.5 billion investment in venture capital and optimizing the investment portfolio through manager selection and allocation strategies.12

Marchick has a notable background in both entrepreneurship and venture capital. He co-founded and served as CEO of Alpine.AI, a company that specialized in voice assistant analytics and was acquired by Headspace in 2019. Prior to that, he co-founded Kahuna, which was instrumental in the mobile marketing automation sector. His experience also includes roles at Bain Capital Ventures and Menlo Ventures, where he focused on technology investments.12

In addition to his investment role, Marchick is a lecturer at Emory University, teaching a course titled "Building a Billion-Dollar Business," which features insights from various industry leaders. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.12
