The Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University is committed to elevating the leader capacity of all Rice students and improving the practice of leadership education and development in higher education. The Doerr Institute was selected as the Most Outstanding Program for 2019 by the Association of Leadership Educators (ALE).
•Provide one‐on‐one coaching to students based on their personal leader development plan
•Provide group coaching to students focused on overcoming common leadership challenges. These leadership challenges include: communicating with confidence and clarity, building and sustaining trust as a leader, and living and leading with purpose

-Advised, mentored, and provided academic, athletic, personal, and social guidance for student-athletes on a daily basis, resulting in 100% college graduation and subsequent job placement.
-Coached and motivated student-athletes on a daily basis utilizing individual meetings, film sessions, and development plans to improve their skills and talents on the court.
-Designed and expanded recruiting success for high school and junior college student-athletes through relationships with coaches and third parties to areas without pre-existing relationships or previous institutional recruiting success.
-Developed and managed all aspects of a prospective student-athlete’s recruitment, including communicating a comprehensive vision and plan for success to a prospective student-athlete, his family, and his coaches and organizing and leading on- and off-campus recruiting trips.

Cornell University

Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

-Developed and communicated program standards and objectives during a coaching staff transition, leading to the second-highest win total for a season in Rice Basketball program history.
-Managed all equipment operations and video operations for Rice Basketball, including developing and managing budgets, and expanding video logistics and distribution to staff and players.
-Oversaw all video and technology operations with a focus on opponent scouting and game prep, self-scouting, and recruiting operations.
-Advised, mentored, and provided academic, athletic, personal, and social guidance for student-athletes on a daily basis.

Men's Basketball Video Coordinator

-Developed and managed the Men’s Basketball academic program, in conjunction with Rice Athletics Academic Advisors, resulting in the highest cumulative GPA for Rice Basketball in program history.
-Advised, mentored, and provided academic, athletic, personal, and social guidance for student-athletes resulting in 100% college graduation and subsequent job placement.
-Coached and motivated student-athletes on a daily basis utilizing individual meetings, film sessions, and development plans to improve their skills and talents on the court.

-Expanded Mike Rhoades Basketball Camps from 1200 campers to over 1800 campers for basketball day camps, and from 25 high school aged basketball teams to over 60 high school aged basketball teams for the Rice Basketball Team Camp.
-Managed all administrative aspects Mike Rhoades Basketball Camps, including: participant retention, finances, advertising, and conflict resolution with parents and participants.
-Developed guidelines, standards, and an orientation program for a staff of over 30 coaches at skills-based camps.

-Oversaw all video and technology operations with a focus on opponent scouting and game prep, self-scouting, and recruiting operations.
-Designed on-court development plans for 10-15 student-athletes, resulting in improved skill levels and win/loss totals.

Men's Basketball Video Coordinator & Director of Player Development

As a student at Rice University, I led and trained a team of 3-5 student-managers for the Men's Basketball program, with an emphasis on developing leadership and selfless service.

I assisted in all aspects of a college basketball program, including but not limited to: Camp, Operations, On-Court Scouting & Game Planning, Recruiting, and Video.
