Adam Caparco
Postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Nicole Steinmetz’s Laboratory
Adam Caparco is a future faculty candidate in chemical and biomolecular engineering with a strong focus on sustainability, ethics, and racial justice in teaching.
He is an active member of the queer community and prefers he/him pronouns.
Adam's research interests encompass biocatalysis, enzyme immobilization, environmental biotechnology, and protein engineering, aimed at applications in bioremediation and precision agriculture.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in the same field from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Adam has professional experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC San Diego, a Research Scientist at Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Visiting Researcher at Genoscope - Centre National de Séquençage. He also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
