From 2013-15 I was COO of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), Australia's "green bank". The CEFC is a legislated investment fund established with access to $10bn in funding. Over this period, it committed investments of over $1.4bn in $3.5bn of projects to catalyse investment in clean energy technologies and energy productivity in Australia.

From 2010-2013 I was CEO of Low Carbon Australia (LCAL), a $100 million investment company capitalised by the Australian Government to co-invest with business and the public sector in clean energy and to increase energy productivity to help accelerate the move to a low carbon economy.  LCAL invested commercially, pioneering innovative co-financing with the private sector in energy efficiency and carbon reduction in industry and the commercial property sector. Over three years, LCAL built a successful investment organization, contracting investment of over $85mill, attracting private sector co-investment in clean energy and energy productivity projects in buildings, industry and local government valued at over $240 mill. LCAL and its investment portfolio were integrated into the CEFC in 2013.

From 2006-2010, based in New York, I was President (CEO) of Alcoa Foundation, as well as Director, Global Issues. The Foundation was one of the largest US asset-based corporate foundations, managing a fund with assets of over US$500 mill and annual philanthropic grants up to US$50 million across 24 countries.  As Director, Global Issues I was responsible for global public strategy and corporate affairs issues, international government relations, sustainability and stakeholder management and communications, working with business development teams helping develop and deliver major international growth projects and sustainability and CSR programs.

This global diplomatic role involved extensive stakeholder engagement and management of a large inter-departmental policy taskforce and negotiating team.
