Gerard Nijsse

Gerard Nijsse is a highly accomplished engineer with extensive experience in leading-edge technology development. Nijsse received his master's degree with honors in Electrical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology, followed by a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente. After receiving his Ph.D., Nijsse worked for GN Hearing A/S as a Senior DSP SW Developer and later grew into the role of Software Architect, eventually taking on responsibilities as GN Group's Lead System Architect. Throughout his career, Nijsse has honed his skills in control engineering, active noise and vibration control, software architecture, and system-level development.

In his current role as Lead System Architect, Nijsse is responsible for developing and executing ReSound's solutions strategy on a system level, including both hardware and software. Nijsse has also made significant contributions as a Principal Research Engineer and CTO Architect at GN Group, helping to design and develop cutting-edge 2.4GHz wireless products. Prior to his work at GN Group, Nijsse worked as a computer journalist for Nijsse Computeradvies.
