James Muller is a Principal Environmental Planner with the Association of Bay Area Governments where he has been working for 10 years managing a large portfolio of grants and projects. He has a Master's of Science in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Radford University. James has extensive grant management, planning, supervisorial, organizational development, and interpersonal communication experience. His portfolio includes the Integrated Regional Water Management program which provides almost $100,000,000 in grant funding from the California Department of Water Resources to implement water management solutions on a regional scale in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is passionate about finding solutions to complex problems and working with people to achieve positive outcomes. James worked extensively on the ABAG/MTC merge in 2017, which involved negotiation, communication, and strategic organization.
