Q moved on to focus on key growth areas within Horangi, building new service lines and internal capabilities to something repeatable and scalable. This process includes the entire service cycle, including:- Creation of marketing collateral content- Guiding sales personnel on communicating about the service line- Position and pricing- Creation of service delivery frameworksThis included a wide range of service types, including - Cloud Security Architecture- Secure Development Lifecycle advisory- Compliance/Conformity with standards and regulatory requirements such as MAS TRM, SOC 2 (TSC), ISO 27001, NIST CSF, among others.- Risk management- vCISO, Cybersecruity strategy and security program management

Horangi

Principal Cyber Strategist

Q assists the CTO, working closely with the Business teams and other stakeholders to ensure Horangi continues to be driven towards her mission. Q continues to work with the Product team, as well as cyber-security consulting projects, and internal efforts to develop and refine new service lines. His work includes:1) Identifying cyber-security trends and potential capability gaps that Horangi can address2) Identifying people, process or technology gaps and opportunities that can be addressed3) Development of Strategy Consulting implementation, including pre-sales, innovating on existing processes, and long term support of security program consulting on strategic, operational and tactical items. This would range from capability-maturity assessments, to SSDLC advisory and design reviews etc.

Chief of Staff to the CTO

Growing the team rapidly over 5 countries, Q led the service team to excel in the delivery of projects, drive service and product growth, as well as the development of capabilities within the team and Horangi's products. He led the push into various industry verticals and exploration to new markets, such as crypto security, policy and strategy development, offensive security, as well as architecting the sales and service processes.As a young company, development of analysts into team leads and managers was prioritized, and ensuring the team struck a balance with the growth of their personal capabilities, consulting, pre-sales, technical depth, and research and development skills.He works closely with the CTO, Research & Development, Development, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment in the growth of Horangi’s products and services.

Director of Cyber Operations

Q joined Horangi as an early hire, building the Consulting team as it's the first member, solving cybersecurity issues and helping clients reach their business goals. He performs a wide range of activities, from advisory around security strategy to penetration testing, incident response and code reviews. He also actively contributes to research and development, as well as Horangi's development of their products.Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), he operated throughout South East Asia with both small medium enterprises and large multinational organizations.

Cyber Operations Consultant

Q is a cybersecurity consultant at PwC, where he performs fieldwork and provides advice around cybersecurity issues. He is a member of the Offensive Security team, focusing on high-risk industries such as financial institutions and critical infrastructure, where he worked with design, code and architecture reviews and penetration testing for a wide range of applications. These range from AS 400 mainframe systems, to mobile banking applications millions of users use every day.He has worked with many high tempo clients and impactful applications, with the opportunity to work with a wide range of systems and applications.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting

Cyber Security Consultant and Penetration Tester

Q Co-founded Thinges, an e-commerce startup focused on telling the story behind artisanal and handmade works and showing the value of these items beyond their material value. They leverage on the wide range of industry types within South East Asia and India to bring in a wide range of quality products.The platform was both on web and mobile, with a proprietary implementation of an algorithm to rank items according to normalized interest a person shows to a product.Thinges obtained funding with Angels Gate Advisory.

Chief Technology Officer, Co-founder

Q co-founded Syrup, a startup focused on providing detailed, actionable data analytics from sources that do not require active participation. Using passive wifi tracking and triangulation of smartphones, they are able to provide business intelligence for optimizing workflow and customer satisfaction. This is deployed to F&B establishments and high traffic shops, providing information as long as their customer's mobile devices were switched on.Syrup obtained funding awards under the Ideasinic program and TagPass, the Tenshi Peak venture award and the NRF MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) Project Grant.As part of some of the team's experiments with the lean startup methodology, he leads development and design of a water conservation hardware as part of PUB’s Hydropreneur (Founder’s Institute) incubator programme. They are finalists for Nanyang Technopreneurship Center Ideasinc 2014 competition and winner of NTUitive Accelerator Program 2014.
