Achille Mauri is a highly educated and experienced postdoctoral researcher with a background in natural sciences, hydrology, environmental engineering, and palaeoecology. He studied at Milan University, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, where he also worked as a PhD assistant. He also worked as a visiting scientist at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), a GIS analyst at the Institute of Environmental Studies (IVM) - Vrjie Universiteit of Amsterdam, and as a GIS technician at Merano municipality (Landscape division). Currently, he serves as a postdoctoral researcher at the European Commission Joint Research Centre.
