John Johnson

John Johnson is an experienced intellectual property lawyer with over 20 years of specialization in patent, trademark, copyright, and unfair competition litigation.

He works as a Litigation Principal at Fish & Richardson P.C. in the New York City and Southern California offices.

With a background in Mechanical Engineering and a Juris Doctor degree, John has a solid educational foundation for his legal career.

Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in U.S. federal court IP disputes, handling cases at both trial and appellate levels, as well as inter partes review (IPRs) before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in Washington, D.C.

John's extensive litigation experience spans across various states in the U.S. including New York, California, Texas, Delaware, and Florida, among others.

He has also handled international IP disputes in Europe and Asia, notably trying a patent infringement case before the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

Prior to joining Fish & Richardson P.C., John gained valuable experience working at Clifford Chance LLP and Heslin & Rothenberg P.C.
