Taryn Hensley is a well-established figure in the footwear industry, currently serving as the Air Portfolio Director at Nike's Air Manufacturing Innovation. Hensley has a strong engineering and product development background that provided a solid foundation as she moved into her current role, which blends engineering, manufacturing, product development, and business strategy. She studied at Michigan State University for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, specializing in packaging engineering and earning a master's degree in Polymer Science. Before joining Nike, Hensley worked as a Senior Development Engineer at The Dow Chemical Company. She has held numerous positions at Nike, including Category Director Cushioning Innovation, Business Analyst, Material and Mechanical Testing Laboratory Manager, Polymers R&D Laboratory Manager, and Polymers R&D Materials Researcher. In her current role, she oversees Nike Air's portfolio- both existing commercial products and innovations, focusing on the financial perspective, customer connection, and sustainability.
