James Perley

James Perley is an accomplished executive with a diverse skill set and a strong track record of leadership.

He holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Hamilton College.

James has held various high-ranking positions at The Yankee Candle Company, Inc., including EVP, Chief Operating Officer, EVP, Chief Administrative Officer, EVP, General Counsel and Corporate Strategy, President International, SVP General Counsel / GM Global, and General Counsel.

Prior to his tenure at The Yankee Candle Company, James served as Vice President and General Counsel at Star Markets Company, Inc., and gained legal experience as a Junior Partner and Associate at WilmerHale (formerly Hale and Dorr, LLP).

His expertise spans general management, operations, strategy, critical thinking, problem-solving, financial acumen, legal and regulatory compliance, and team building.
