I work as a Staff Engineer in Quorum's KnowWho team. I am based in Brazil, but the company I work for is based in the US and works with people from different countries, communicating in English.


Specifically, I've been involved in creating a new project built on the AWS cloud with modern technology. In this role, I've played a crucial part in enhancing and discussing the architecture, covering backend, infrastructure, and frontend aspects. On a daily basis, my focus is on implementing challenging features while ensuring high quality through the use of unit tests and integration tests.

On the backend, I'm developing using Python with Django and .NET(C#) following a TDD approach. I work with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, SQL Server, Pytest, and AWS services like EKS, S3, and SQS.

Regarding the front end, I have experience working with React, utilizing Quorum's Design System and Material UI. I've also gained expertise in implementing CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins and have worked in complex DevSecOps environments with AWS as the cloud provider.
I take pride in my contributions to the team, which include architectural design, product involvement, and leadership.

In my current position, I am leading a highly innovative initiative that aims to be the company's flagship product. In terms of the technology stack, I am working with the same technologies as in my previous position. However, the major change is that I am now responsible for leading the initiative, which involves aligning and making important strategic decisions with the technical team and other teams within the company.

Some highlights of my work so far include:

- Technical and functional leadership of the DevOps and Cloud Engineering pillars of the solution.
- Led the discovery of new products for the company in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

As a member of Mercê's team, I have embraced leadership responsibilities and achieved remarkable milestones in various realms, including product discovery, shaping the product roadmap, and crafting robust, scalable code. My efforts have been centred on delivering dependable brand solutions, thereby catalyzing revenue growth and operational efficiency enhancements for grocery stores, bakeries, and small retailers.

In my role, I have been instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of both the e-commerce web and back-office applications. These platforms are harmoniously built using the same stack. On the backend,  Python, C# (.NET), Docker, AWS Lambda for serverless computing, and AWS API Gateway. Concurrently, the frontend boasts cutting-edge technologies like React and Apollo (GraphQL client), while our databases rely on the robustness of PostgreSQL. The orchestration of asynchronous tasks is entrusted to SQS and SNS, enhancing efficiency. The integration of Redis for caching contributes to a responsive user experience.

The bedrock of our technology architecture is the comprehensive AWS infrastructure, which I have actively developed and maintained. Our commitment to a seamless development workflow is upheld by leveraging Circle CI for continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).

As a member of the software architecture team, I am responsible for creating applications, services, and tools that improve business efficiency and reduce costs. I am involved in all aspects of software development, including backlog creation, feature implementation, architecture definition, testing, and deployment. My expertise in DevOps practices and technologies such as .NET (Rest and gRPC), Python (pyspark), Angular, React, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, ServiceBus, Redis, MongoDB, DocumentDB, SqlServer, ElasticSearch, Kibana, and Azure (our main cloud provider) enables me to create performance solutions that are resilient and can handle large volumes of data. I also participate in the development of proofs-of-concept (POC) to address functional and non-functional requirements and carry out unit, integration, and performance tests using technologies such as Jmeter, Xunit, FluentAssertions, and NSubstitute (or Moq).

I work in the software architecture team focused on creating applications, services and tools to make business units more efficient and less costly, and of course always thinking about the developer experience. I am directly involved in the migration of monolithic applications to microservices aiming at high application availability and more efficient delivery of features, backlog creation, feature implementation, architecture definition, testing and deploy. I also participate in the development of proof of concepts (POC) to address functional and non-functional requirements. In my day to day I use Devops practices, making use of technologies such as .NET(Rest and gRPC), Python(pyspark), Angular, React, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, ServiceBus, Redis, MongoDB, DocumentDB, SqlServer, ElasticSearch , Kibana and among others... Due to the large volume of data and the criticality of our systems, we mostly need to create performative and resilient solutions. And whenever necessary, we are performing unit, integration and performance tests, using technologies such as Jmeter, Xunit, FluentAssertions and NSubstitute(Or moq)

I develop solutions focused on the area of ​​Digital Marketing automation, specifically in the area of ​​user engagement and making use of People Marketing (It is a strategy focused on the humanization of contact between brands and potential clients). I am one of the engineers responsible for web applications of the company, I am directly involved in the implementation of functionalities and tests. All engineering teams make use of agile methodology, I would say it would be an integration of Scrum with Kanban. Most of the time, I'm focused on backend functionality. Because of the large volume of data, we are always thinking about performance solutions, that is why we work with microservice architecture and use the DevOps culture. In my day to day, I use technology like .NET Core (C#), Micro ORM Dapper, Flurl, DryIoc, Redis, AWS SQS, AWS S3, Docker, and Jenkins and for relational databases we use Mysql and for NoSQL, it is used the MongoDB. We're always running integration testing and testing units using the Xunit, Moq, and FluentAssertions tools and using Git (Bitbucket) for version management.

Development of solutions in the area of public economics and business management using scrum culture. I'm one of the developers responsible for the company's web and mobile applications, working mobile first, using Angular5 (Typcript, scss, html) for the back end API Rest in .NET Core2.0 (C #), entity core framework with PostgreSQL database and using git for version management.

Technologies / Tools: Bitbucket, Postman, Trello, Draw.io, and Google docs.
