Abhinav Sinha is a Private Equity professional with over 20 years of extensive experience in London, India, and Africa, focusing on technology and impact investing to address challenges related to digital connectivity, access to medicines, and climate change.
He has led numerous intricate equity transactions across the UK, Asian, and African markets, encompassing majority deals, take-private transactions, minority deals, secondaries, investments in funds, and co-investments. Currently, he holds the position of Head of the technology and telecoms team at CDC Group, managing a portfolio of approximately $850 million and around 20 investments with a team of 14 professionals.
Abhinav serves as a Director/Alternate on the Boards of various prominent organizations, including 14 Trees - a joint venture between CDC Group and Lafarge Holcim, Liquid Telecom, Safaricom Ethiopia, and Kelix Bio, where he chairs the Audit Committee.
Prior to his current role, Abhinav Sinha was a Partner at Fidelity Growth Partners (Eight Roads), where he played a crucial role in developing their industrial and telecom portfolio. During his tenure, he sat on six Boards, tackling challenges related to scaling up, M&A, organizational development, and brand building.
Abhinav's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IIM Calcutta, and a BE in Electronics & Communication from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
His previous professional roles include being the Global Head of Technology & Telecoms at CDC Group plc, Managing Director at Eight Roads, Investment Manager at CLSA, and Principal at The Boston Consulting Group.
