Abel Wang

Abel Wang, also known as 王静玺, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in IT strategic planning, architecture design, and product innovation within the high-tech industry and consulting firms. He has a diverse background working with clients ranging from finance and banking to communication, retail, and e-commerce sectors.

In his previous roles, Abel Wang played a pivotal role as the General Manager at Suning Commerce R&D Center USA from 2013 to 2015. During his tenure, he focused on exploring new business models, driving technology innovation, and establishing strategic partnerships with top US companies. Before his time at Suning, Abel had a successful career at IBM China for over 15 years, progressing from an IT Specialist to ultimately serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO)/Chief IT Architect (ITA) in GBS China. He provided invaluable IT strategy, architecture, and solution design services to prominent state-owned banks, telecom carriers, and retail enterprises.

Apart from his work at Suning and IBM, Abel Wang contributed to the digital transformation of numerous prominent companies in China. His areas of expertise include cloud computing, e-commerce, connected-business solutions, high-performance computing, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). Abel Wang's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology.

Abel Wang has held key positions in renowned organizations, such as Chief Architect at Microsoft, former Head of EP&I (Emerging Product and Innovation) at Visa, and the former General Manager of Suning R&D Center (USA) at Suning International USA. Additionally, he has served in various capacities at IBM, including CTO of GBS China, Executive IT Architect at Global Business Services, Chief IT Architect of GBS China, and Senior IT Architect.
