Abed Ayoub
Legal & Policy Director at American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC)
Abed A. Ayoub is the National Executive Director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), the largest Arab American civil rights organization in the United States.14 He was appointed to this position in September 2022.234 Prior to this role, Ayoub served as the National Legal & Policy Director of ADC from 2011 to 2022.12
Throughout his career, Ayoub has focused on addressing issues impacting Arabs and Muslims in the United States, including discrimination, immigration, hate crimes, surveillance, and profiling.1 He has also worked to enhance the community's economic empowerment and access to education.1
Ayoub is a native of Dearborn, Michigan, which has the largest concentration of Arab Americans in the United States.1 He received his JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2005.4
Outside of his professional capacity, Ayoub is involved in tackling hunger and homelessness in the Metro Detroit and Washington, D.C. areas. He is a co-founder of Third Pillar Charities, which provides relief and opportunities for the less fortunate.1
