Ravi Kittappa is a California-based composer, guitarist, and improviser who has made a name for himself with his captivating soundscapes and commissioned works. He earned his degree in Philosophy from the renowned Johns Hopkins University before pursuing music Composition at Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley, where he is currently completing his Ph.D. Ravi has received international recognition for his talent, participating in festivals across the globe such as Ostrava Days, Minot Modern, and the World Saxophone Congress.

Not just limited to composing, Ravi has also performed with acclaimed artists such as Myra Melford, Fred Frith, and Todd Reynolds. He founded Permutations, a performance and fundraising series, and curated it alongside pianist Karl Larson, in which he presents his experimental work. Ravi Kittappa created the soundtrack for the documentary, The Gettysburg Story, collaborating with director Jake Boritt, which was narrated by Stephen Lang and aired on public broadcasting stations throughout the US. As a versatile and accomplished musician, Ravi Kittappa continues to explore the limits of sound and music.
