Joanna Kabat is an accomplished nonprofit professional with a passion for addressing social and environmental issues. She holds a Master's in Public Administration from the Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Human Rights Studies from Barnard College at Columbia University in New York.
Kabat has experience working with various organizations over the years, including Liberty Hill Foundation and HIAS, where she held roles such as Deputy Director of Training and Capacity Building, Senior Program Manager, Director of the Executive Office and Board Development, and Major Gifts Officer. Through these positions, she developed expertise in grantmaking, board development, and major gifts fundraising.
Her approach to work revolves around a commitment to creating a more just and equitable world. Currently, as Director of Grantmaking and Capacity Building at Liberty Hill Foundation, she is responsible for advancing social justice movements in Los Angeles.
