Ellie Austin is an accomplished journalist with a Master's degree in Magazine Journalism from City University (GB) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Spanish from Durham University. With a 1st Class and Distinction in Spoken French, Ellie's language skills come in handy when covering international topics for her work. She studied at Cheltenham Ladies' College before pursuing her passion for journalism. Currently, Ellie is the Assistant Features Editor at Radio Times, a publication of Immediate Media Co. Prior to that, she worked as a Writer and Media Advisor at The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media and as a Features Writer at Radio Times. Ellie's editorial background includes being the former Editor at XCity Magazine, where she led a team of writers and managed the publication. She was also an Editorial Intern at Ykone and worked in the Culture desk as an Intern for The Daily Telegraph. As a journalist, Ellie has developed a deep understanding of gender issues in media and is passionate about creating a more inclusive representation for minority groups.
