Kelvin Willoughby, Ph.D., is a renowned professor of innovation management and entrepreneurship at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. With a focus on intellectual property management, technological entrepreneurship, strategic technology management, and regional technology-based industry development, he has also held notable positions at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Russia), Curtin University (Australia), the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, the University of Minnesota, and Mahidol University (Thailand). He has also worked as Vice President for Technology Entrepreneurship at the US Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and contributed as Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor project for Thailand. Dr. Willoughby's expertise encompasses intellectual property law, technology commercialization strategy, entrepreneurship education, intellectual property management education, and technology transfer. His academic and professional achievements have led him to conduct seminal regional assessment and planning projects for bio-related technology industries in different states of the USA such as Minnesota, New York, Utah, and California, as well as various universities worldwide.
