Makani Christensen is a multi-faceted individual with a remarkable background of achievement in business, military service, and entrepreneurship. As an expert in strategic planning, logistics, supply chain management, and budgeting, Makani has managed operating budgets of $30,000,000 and military service assets valued at $103,000,000. With a degree in oceanography from the United States Naval Academy and experience as a combat veteran in Iraq and Afghanistan, Makani is a distinguished leader and communicator with unmatched relationship and team-building skills.
In his professional pursuits, Makani has founded Keawe Adventures and Fly Fishing Hawaii, both of which showcase his passion for water sports and nature-based activities. These ventures, combined with his other interests such as hunting, farming, and fishing, have enabled him to become a professional fisherman, waterman, and Ironman triathlete. Beyond his evident athletic ability, Makani also leads the Hunting, Farming, and Fishing Association, which promotes sustainable land and resource usage in the community. In recognition of his exceptional achievements, Makani has received numerous accolades, including the Joint Service Commendation Medal for his work at Multi-National Force Iraq (MNF-I). Currently, he serves as the President of the USNA Alumni Association of Hawaii and is a proud husband and father of three.
