Haichun Chen is an accomplished engineering leader and data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning, data engineering, knowledge graph, advanced algorithms, cloud computing, search engine, and distributed systems. With a passion for inclusion and diversity, they have led teams in developing cutting-edge technologies in Hadoop, Spark, Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, R, and Google Cloud among others. Haichun has also invented several US patents and holds a Master's degree and is a PhD candidate in Physics from Purdue University. They also studied Computer Science at the same institution and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from University of Science and Technology of China.

Haichun's leadership spans across a number of high profile companies including Airbnb, where they currently serve as an Engineering Leader, Machine Learning, and former management positions at Netflix, Adobe, Inovelli Inc, Google, Synopsys, and magma design automation. Their areas of expertise include machine learning, deep learning, time series analysis, large scale data mining, fraud detection, and more.
