Masha Chernyak is a seasoned artist, visionary, and community organizer with a passion for people. She is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Programs and Brand Strategy at the Latino Community Foundation where she strategizes and executes change-making initiatives by directing all grantmaking, programs, and campaigns to help shape a new narrative about the contributions of Latino immigrants in California.

Over the course of her career, Masha has demonstrated great skill in expanding the Latino Community Foundation (LCF) statewide. Her leadership abilities facilitated the successful launch of the two other key pillars of the LCF’s work, which are the California Latino Agenda, LCF’s advocacy platform, and the Latino Giving Circle Network™, now the largest network of Latino donors in the country.

Masha’s expertise in community organizing and advocacy stems from her background as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Guatemala, where she worked as a Small Business Development and Education Volunteer, and her work as a Community Organizer/After School Program Coordinator at the United Neighborhood Organization.

Masha is an immigrant from Russia and had previously studied at the Lorenzo de' Medici, Universidad de Sevilla, University of Cincinnati College of Business, and the University of San Francisco, where she earned her Masters of Public Affairs and Politics.

As an artist and creative genius, she has attended the Summer Fine Arts Program in Florence, Italy, Fine/Studio Arts, and Italian at Lorenzo de' Medici. She also worked as The News Record Photographer at the University of Cincinnati and was formerly a Shop Manager at Baba Budans Espresso Bar.
