Viraj Mane is the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder of Lactiga, a biotech startup dedicated to advancing a novel biologic for multiple anti-infective applications, including treatment for COVID-19. With a PhD in Molecular & Human Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine and a BS in Biology with a Fine Arts minor from The College of New Jersey, Mane has a diverse range of skills and interests that have allowed him to excel in fields including biotech, medical countermeasures, pharma licensing, vehicular mobility, cybersecurity & fintech, high-performance computing, molecular diagnostics, health IT, government outreach, nanotechnology, tech transfer, intellectual property, grant-writing, and more.

Prior to his work with Lactiga, Mane served as a Sector Manager for Automotive and Mobility at Ontario Centres of Excellence and a Manager of Business Development and Research at Ontario Genomics, among other positions. He has also served as a mentor for Health Technologies at Founder Institute and as a Special Project Advisor at Joyride. With an extensive background and a demonstrated history of success, Mane is a valuable asset to any organization focusing on developing innovative technologies and exploring new opportunities in the biotech space.
