Villy Wang is an accomplished media producer, educator, and social entrepreneur. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Engineering from Brown University, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, and a degree in Teaching and Education from San Francisco State University. She founded and serves as the President and CEO of BAYCAT, an organization that promotes racial and economic equity by training young adults and women to become storytellers. BAYCAT's Academy has helped 4,000 disadvantaged young people in the Bay Area learn digital media arts, while the Studio produces professional media for clients such as the Golden State Warriors, Super Bowl 50, National Park Service, and Citibank. Wang's expertise includes marketing, branding, media production, docudrama/narrative films, community and economic development, job training in media and tech, arts education, and social enterprise. She served as the President of the San Francisco Film Commission and has won numerous awards for her work on social justice issues. Wang believes in the power of storytelling to change hearts and minds and bring attention to marginalized communities.
