Aaron Young

Aaron Young is a seasoned professional with a strong background in maritime reform projects, planning, and environmental science spanning over 25 years. With a focus on leadership, Aaron has been involved in designing innovative regulatory frameworks and implementing large-scale organizational changes.

His expertise extends to planning in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environments and understanding governance, risk, and legislative requirements in the public sector. He has a proven track record of influencing diverse stakeholder groups, from Australian government agencies to maritime industry players and other governments.

Aaron also excels in financial planning and budget management, as well as in motivating and leading teams of considerable size. He holds a Thesis Masters of Science and possesses a top-secret security clearance (NV2). Aaron's educational background includes advanced studies in oceanography, meteorology, and physics from reputable institutions.

Throughout his career, Aaron has held key positions in various capacities within the Royal Australian Navy, where he has been instrumental in directing stakeholder engagement, regulatory and risk frameworks design, and asset management projects. With his wealth of experience and qualifications, Aaron now serves as the Principal Consultant at ALARP Solutions.
