I currently lead a small, strategic recruiting team that partners with VPs across Amazon in hiring applied science leaders to help further our capabilities in Machine Learning, specifically as it relates to computational advertising, recommender systems, personalization and reinforcement learning.  My team seeks to build long-term relationship with scientists interested to learn more about research at Amazon and explore opportunities that align with their passions.

I contracted for 6 months to help staff several of Facebook's initial key positions in Asia-Pacific.  Hired the first Partner Engineers in the region (South Korea and Hong Kong).   Also hired the first Growth Consultant for Vietnam, Ad Ops Manager for Singapore, and the region's first Business Account Manager and Global Business Manager.   I enjoyed working with an international recruiting team that was first in class!

At Linden Lab (the creators of Second Life) I provided a variety of Recruiting, HR, and Org Dev functions.

-  Wrote all Recruiting process wiki-documentation and published to the organization
-  Blog regularly on Linden Lab’s hiring practices and recruiting updates
-  Built Linden Lab’s student internship and university relations programs from scratch
-  Designed and implemented scalable candidate pipeline tracking tools
-  Acted as org-dev consultant to Customer Relations and the Product Management teams
-  Negotiated vendor contracts and determined preferred staffing partners
-  Implemented third-party payroll service vendor system

I did the one year contract recruiter gig at Google, becoming familiar with all aspects of Google's recruiting and offer approval processes.   My main areas of work included Google’s Consumer and Ad Ops divisions.

In addition to these duties, I served as a Staffing Buddy to new Recruiters, conducted candidate sourcing trainings, and facilitated Google's first and only non-degreed hire for the AdSense division, earning a Peer Bonus Award.

Over a three year period, I managed a global concierge service team for premium clients from KPMG, OnStar, American Express, and Diner's Club.    Our services ranged anywhere from arranging deep sea diving expeditions, planning weddings, obtaining World Cup tickets, reserving private jet charters, and purchasing rare books.   We attempted to fill every type of request.  After working as an individual contributor and Customer Complaints Manager, I eventually supervised a team of 15 concierges and was the single point of contact for the OnStar account.  I left LesConcierges to pursue my MBA.
