Aaron Joshua Pinto

Aaron Joshua Pinto is a senior Canadian diplomat and the Government of Ontario's official Trade and Investment Representative in New York and the Northeastern United States.

His professional background includes serving as a Trade Commissioner focused on Foreign Direct Investment at the Consulate General of Canada in New York, supporting tech startups and SMEs in their international growth.

Passionate about public policy, global affairs, and innovation, Aaron has engaged in good governance initiatives and socioeconomic issues globally, from post-Apartheid townships in Cape Town to Ukraine, Malawi, and Colombia.

With a keen interest in global affairs, Aaron has participated in trade and development missions in Central and South America, as well as Canada's Arctic. He has a strong background in academia, graduating with honors in International Relations and a Master's in Politics and Security.

Aaron has been involved in various youth leadership roles, including being elected as a City Youth Councillor, leading negotiations for the Canadian G7 youth delegation, and serving as Canada's Youth Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
