Aaron Hsieh

Aaron Hsieh is currently a Tech Lead at 趨勢科技 (Trend Micro), based in New Taipei City, Taiwan. He has been in this position since January 2019, accumulating over five years of experience in this role. Prior to his current position, he worked as a Staff Engineer at Trend Micro starting in July 2017, and he has also held roles in various engineering capacities, including a Cyber Security Architect.23

Hsieh has a background in biology from National Taiwan University and transitioned into software engineering as a self-taught professional. Before returning to Taiwan, he served as an Engineer Team Lead at a startup in London, where he was involved in projects from early funding stages through Series B.1 His diverse experience encompasses both technical leadership and cybersecurity architecture, making him well-versed in managing complex technical initiatives.

In addition to his professional roles, Hsieh has been active in sharing his insights on navigating the tech job market internationally, particularly regarding visa challenges and the importance of communication skills for engineers.1
