PE (Procurement Engineering) department is under Flextronics Global Procurement Organization. PE’s roles include alternate sourcing/ cost reduction, commodity database maintenance, supplier sourcing, RFQ and business cross support to departments/segments/sites. Cooperation groups include SQM, GCM, SSCM & business segments.Roles & Responsibilities-Manage EE team: distribute task to team members and summarize team report to department manager; provide job & technical trainings to team members; show leadership to the team and make sure the team steps on department direction.-R&D Design Support: commodity spec definition, first source characteristic checking, issue of FAI reports for ODM projects, etc.-Alternate Sourcing/ Cost Reduction: Search & qualify alternative source to minimize the single source rate & material shortage risk. CE department in MiTAC takes care of component qualification, component reliability testing, component quality issues and participating supplier quality improvement.Roles & Responsibilities: -EE & EM components qualification, including spec checking, sample testing and pilot run if necessary. And support R&D for component selection. -Conduct component reliability testing. And lead IQC to do new incoming FAI & material special control. Involved MRB & UAI process.-Support SQE to do supplier management, participating onsite audits and quality improvement.-Participate line defect rate and handle supplier preventative actions. Issue and close supplier corrective action requests and FA (Failure Analysis) reports.-BOM review & component database update in ERP.
