Matthew Borges is an accomplished healthcare leader, with a solid background in clinical and hospital operations, healthcare quality improvement, and process improvement. With extensive experience in programmatic development and team management, Matthew has a passion for integrating advanced practice into operations and championing continuous education. Matthew completed his Master of Science in Physician Assistant at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and his Master of Business Administration in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and his Bachelor of Science in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General at James Madison University.

Currently serving as Assistant Director of Advanced Practice- Surgery at Texas Children's Hospital, Matthew leads efforts to expand the TCH PA Fellowship program into community locations. Before joining TCH, he served as Director of Advanced Practice Clinicians at VEMA, Ltd., where he also worked as a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Medicine department. Previously worked at Family Medicine of Clifton/Centreville and Emergency Physicians of Tidewater.

Matthew's expertise lies in hiring, mentoring, and developing successful teams, hospital credentialing, and programmatic development. He is always looking for opportunities to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
