Ajay Revels is a seasoned strategic design researcher with over 17 years of experience in user experience (UX) consulting. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with start-ups and Fortune 500 firms, supporting innovation projects in financial services, healthcare, and entertainment. His ability to transform insights into actionable plans is second to none, and he leverages a range of design methodologies, making him a versatile asset to every team. His past clients include Panasonic, CNN, Merrill Lynch, TD Ameritrade, and Barclays, as well as design agencies such as Razorfish, Flow Interactive, and HUGE. Ajay studied Design Theory at the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a BA in Biology & Art from The University of New Mexico. He went on to pursue other academic interests and obtained a Master's in Design, Applied Arts from the School of Visual Arts, followed by studies in Design Entrepreneurship at Pratt Institute and High Tech Anthropology at Menlo Innovations. In addition to his academic pursuits, Ajay is also active in various organizations as a former design research consultant for Girl Scouts of the USA, Toshiba America, and ADP, among others. As a startup mentor at Luminary Labs, he helps young companies achieve their goals. He has also served as a lead design researcher at Barclays Investment Bank and Polite Machines, senior user researcher at Razorfish, and UX consultant at Flow Interactive and Politemachines, among others. Ajay has worked in numerous settings, from universities and hospitals to private homes, trading desks, airports, trade shows, and newsrooms, in the US and Japan. His favorite tools include Ethnography, Design Thinking, Service Design, Value Mapping, and Lean UX.
