Chris McGuire is a highly experienced and accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a passion for technology, communication, and design. He has an impressive background in building technical teams and improving processes, having held key positions such as VP of Engineering and CTO at leading companies like Thinkific, Checkfront, and Foodee.

With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Animation and Multimedia from the University of Paisley and a degree in Technology and Business Studies from the University of Strathclyde, Chris combines his deep technical expertise with a strong business acumen.

Prior to his current role as CTO of Thinkific, Chris served as VP of Technology & Product at Checkfront, where he was responsible for leading the overall technology strategy and product development. He has also held several senior positions at Hootsuite, including Director of Software Development and Senior Software Development Manager. Chris's leadership skills and technical know-how were instrumental in the successful growth of Brightkit, which was sold to Hootsuite.

Chris's extensive professional experience also includes working as New Media Manager at Marca Studio Inc. and Braun/Allison, Ops Team at Insurepair Ltd, and Contract Software Developer and Digital Specialist at Freelance.
