Curt Spalding is an accomplished environmental advocate, policy analyst, and administrator with extensive experience in environmental protection. During the Obama Administration, he served as the Regional Administrator of EPA Region 1 New England. He has also served as the Executive Director of Save The Bay for eighteen years. Spalding is a Professor of the Practice at Institute at Brown for Environment and Society (IBES) and formerly held the position of Principal Consultant at Spalding Climate Strategies. With a focus on whole system thinking and resilience, Spalding has contributed to restoring and protecting New England's waters, including Lake Champlain, Cape Cod, Southern New England Coast, Long Island Sound, and Great Bay. He has spearheaded Brownfield and Superfund initiatives and helped communities develop climate resilience. Spalding continues to work towards revitalizing cities to make them healthy and prosperous places to live. He studied MPA, Public Administration at University at Albany, SUNY, and BA, Political Science and Government at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
