Brendan Ahern is a highly experienced Chief Investment Officer with an extensive background in the finance and ETF industry. He is the man behind KraneShares' research, education, and outreach efforts. Brendan worked in Neuberger Berman and Salomon Brothers before being one of the first 20 employees of iShares by BlackRock, where he witnessed the industry's explosive growth from the ground up. He was involved in product development, branding, business strategy, trade execution, and many other aspects of the ETF market.

Brendan's passion for Chinese financial news led him to travel to China frequently to stay up to date and stay in touch with the firm's Chinese partners. He is considered an expert on global financial markets, with a particular focus on the Chinese market. Due to his outstanding industry knowledge, leading financial outlets such as Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, and CNBC frequently seek him out for interviews.

Brendan earned a Master of Science degree in Financial Analysis (MSFA) from the University of San Francisco. He also attended the College of the Holy Cross and the Golden Gate University.
