Common Purpose  is an international, not-for-profit leadership organisation. Their Meridian course is a leadership course for established leaders from all sectors and backgrounds, which brought together around 60 London leaders from different backgrounds to complete at least 60 hours study over six months.The core course is three full days with all participants at the start, midpoint and end of the course. In between, each leader chooses from over 50 events to explore a huge range of real-life challenges - based in anything from a prison to a casualty unit; a trading floor to a production plant; a rehab centre to a radio station - in small groups, learning constantly from each other, the contributors and the experience of operating in very unfamiliar situations.The world is becoming more complex and fragmented. Common Purpose believes that the best leaders are able to lead across boundaries, and especially lead people with diverse perspectives—from different backgrounds, beliefs, generations, geographies, specialisations and sectors. Our programmes help leaders develop their Cultural Intelligence.We run leadership development programmes that inspire and equip people to work across boundaries. Through exposing people to new experiences, new leaders and new perspectives, they improve their own leadership. We offer programmes to university students preparing for their careers, right through to global C-suite executives at the peak of their careers.
