Alex Shapilsky

Alex Shapilsky, a highly versatile and driven individual, has an outstanding professional background in emerging technologies, mechatronics, and project engineering. After graduating with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, 1st Class Honours from UNSW, he started his career as a student engineer at Alcoa and later worked as a robotics lab supervisor and tutor at the University of New South Wales. Subsequently, Alex gained extensive industry experience, working at companies such as Jacobs and Rheem Manufacturing as a maintenance engineer and project engineer in Electronic Systems and Control, respectively.

Later in his career, Alex served as Head of Technology at Internet of Things Group, Senior Manager - Emerging Technology Advisory Service at Macquarie Group, and Technology Consultant at Shap & Co. Alex's most recent role was Senior Manager - Technology at Metro Martin Place at Macquarie Group.

Alex's passion for new technology and adaptability has resulted in an impressive range of skills, including emerging technology advisory, mechatronics engineering, IoT integration, and project management.
