Lauren Perez is a versatile and experienced full-stack engineer with a creative background in education and operations. She specializes in JavaScript, Node.js, React, Vue, and Azure, among other technologies. Her most recent role was as a full-stack engineer on a "build and innovation" team at a creative agency, where she built scalable, secure, SPAs and RESTful API’s in Node / Express for high profile clients including T-Mobile, Sony, VMware/ Dell, and Microsoft. Her broad skill set includes front-end design patterns, accessible HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful microservices, JSON, Docker, and websockets, as well as graphic design using Adobe Illustrator. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Rhodes College, and a Master of Education in Secondary Education and Teaching, Biology from the University of Arizona. In addition to her work as a software engineer at TEKsystems at Microsoft, Lauren has experience as an associate instructor of web development at General Assembly, and as a STEM teacher at BASIS.ed and Sahuaro High School. She also has experience in operations management, technical recruiting, and coffee industry operations.
