Graphic Designer at Amazon

Started out at Amazon Fashion and then transitioned to North American Stores team, in a multi-faceted design role for brands on Amazon.com. I created a wide range of digital assets and creative that focused on curated, cross-category shopping experiences. These included landing page UI design and build using internal CMS tools. Multiple seasonal launches of Customers' Most-Loved internal fashion and lifestyle brand, and collaborated with marketing partners on new influencer-curated initiatives. Light art direction, training, and development of best practices for on-boarding new team members.

Amazon

Senior Designer

Supported the CxLabs team with production design and localization for Amazon devices leading up to annual fall launch event. Collaborated with technical teams to complete translation and build localized product detail pages in 6 languages. I used Sketch and Adobe XD to develop and update device UI screens for Alexa privacy and accessibility initiatives.

Graphic Designer

I provided design team support for the F3 org (Prime Now, Fresh and Whole Foods Market) during the holiday season. Photoshop re-touching of Amazon products to create realistic compositions for multi-channel ad placements. Supported international markets with designs for Amazon website deliverables for EU, Mexico, and Canada. Managed large asset gallery from holiday photoshoots for multiple holiday sales events - Thanksgiving, Holiday, New Years.

I worked on the design team at Moz during the busy summer season leading up to their annual SEO conference MozCon. Built out sales enablement materials, email campaigns, and motion graphics for social media ads. Prepared large scale 3D installations for events, created targeted B2B ads to promote their SEO products and platform. I distilled complex technical features and content into easy to understand and fun visual elements.

I joined the Associate Attraction creative team for Workforce Staffing during peak hiring season. I designed digital and print ads, video content, social media, provided copywriting and editing support for text and email marketing campaigns and updated landing pages for Amazon.jobs.

Production Designer and Marketing Specialist

I was responsible for production design and marketing support for cellular devices and accessories. Deliverables included printed signage such as flyers, posters, and table toppers as well as web assets like landing pages, email content, and video loops in store kiosks. I reviewed work for brand compliance, sourced OEM legal info, and checked pricing for carrier promotions. Required quick turn around in meeting competitors' deals and accuracy in the rapidly shifting industry.

Marketing Specialist

Managed the editing, design, and production of several educational books and graphic training guides as well as electronic educational content and website maintenance. For these projects I oversaw book design and typography, layout and pagination, copyediting, photo-retouching and resizing, several rounds of revisions, creating print ready files and coordination with the printer. I also coordinated localization of these books into a dozen languages and multiple formats/printings for use in the field. After leaving my full-time role in Oct 2014 to move to Seattle, I continued on as a contract designer for another 2 years.

At Starting Out, Inc (acquired by by McGraw-Hill Education) I was responsible for book design and layout using InDesign, I was also tasked with proofreading, editing, and preparing print-ready PDF and packaged files for the educational book series. I supported the CEO and publisher during the acquisition by McGraw-Hill and coordinated hand-off of our working files and archives.

Production Editor

I designed marketing materials, catalogs, direct mailers, and promotional signage for this international fine art gallery. Worked on logistics and advertising for artist shows and auctions. Photographed new art acquisitions and gallery events, optimized artist-supplied images for print and web display. Designed the layout of art catalogs and organized mass mailings to art collectors.
