During his tenure at Tempus, Jonathan has been responsible for the creation, design and launch of several fundamental products:

1) Tempus ONE Clinical Voice Assistant

A smart, voice-enabled portable device and voice assistant service for oncologists.

Tempus ONE harnesses over 40 petabytes of data that has been collected over the past five years, embedded in a device that puts the full breadth and scope of the Tempus platform in the hands of every physician, enhancing their ability to use data in making real-time treatment decisions.

As co-inventor, Jonathan leads product development and operations for Tempus ONE as it moves from a beta available to about 50 oncologists to a broader launch in 2022.

2) Clinical Data Structuring

Advanced tools and technologies convert text buried inside oncology notes, pathology reports, and radiology reports into structured data that can be used for research, analysis, quality metrics reporting and clinical decision support.

A team of trained abstractors use optical character recognition (OCR), natural language processing (NLP) tools, and automation to structure, clean and standardize data.

3) Clinical Trial Matching

Each patient’s sequenced molecular data and clinical history are compared against each trial’s structured inclusion and exclusion criteria through our proprietary trial matching software and methods.

This technology is used in support of the TIME Trial Program, a just-in-time network of providers to support rapid patient identification, site activation, and enrollment of select clinical trials. Through the TIME Trial Program, 2,600 oncologists and their patients have unprecedented access to a large portfolio of cutting-edge precision medicine trials.

The WÜF ONE Smart Collar provided pet parents with a comprehensive, secure and always-connected set of benefits including global GPS location tracking, invisible fences, invisible leashes, activity monitoring and two-way audio that all combined for a brand new approach to dog (and human) training.

My responsibilities included all of product management, API and mobile engineering at this venture-backed growth company focused on global recruiting software and mobile apps for university and diversity relations teams within large organizations.

Additionally, I served as a member of Yello's leadership team where I contributed to business strategy, customer development, technology direction, talent recruiting and overall growth.

Lextech helps sales, operations, and IT teams optimize workflows by identifying, designing, and developing suites of custom mobile apps.

While at Lextech, I served as a member of the leadership team, led the app design team and maintained responsibility for product definition, user experience design and the successful engineering and deployment of customer solutions. I also engaged in business development together with customer partners at all phases of the project lifecycle, growing significant levels of new business and revenue through the successful negotiation of customer engagements and strengthening customer retention.

Mobile Technology Strategist

Building upon my experiences in each of my earlier roles, I was provided with a unique opportunity to create and lead a new unit within Tribune Interactive focused on mobile applications and technology R&D. At it's peak, my group consisted of ten mobile software engineers and product designers, all carefully chosen and working collaboratively to create new solutions for Tribune Company business units as well as external customers.

As mobile product architect, I also maintained responsibility for architecting reusable and scalable API services (e.g. video, UGC, archives/cloud and SSO) which were ultimately incorporated into the organization's central technology platform.

My team and I shipped over two dozen iPhone, iPad and Android mobile applications to their respective App Store and Google Play marketplaces, achieved 'top 10' status within the U.S. paid news app category, 'top 100' across all U.S. paid apps and participated in exclusive Apple marketing campaigns both online and in the retail channel.

In this role, my focus shifted to improving the internal organization and performance of product and engineering teams responsible for designing and implementing digital solutions across all Tribune Company television, radio, newspaper and digital business units.

Additionally, I actively participated in product and technology roadmap definition and talent recruitment as well as close collaboration with both the business development and corporate development teams on new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and the evaluation of technology and team acquisitions.

I was brought into Tribune Interactive to focus on new strategic marketing opportunities, specifically within the emerging mobile and social channels. As this was alongside the debut of the original iPhone, mobile capabilities were much more limited and network data access was far less ubiquitous than it is today. Additionally, Facebook Platform had only just been announced and launched, prompting evaluation and reconsideration of how content was produced, shared, syndicated and ultimately, revenue-generating.

As a result of my involvement in numerous company-wide initiatives requiring coordination between many different business units, I was also responsible for supporting the development of Tribune Interactive's end-to-end marketing strategy, annual operating plan and the determination of future new product initiatives.

Optimization Group is a marketing innovation and accountability firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan focused on marketing analytics. They have measured over 1,800 different marketing campaigns, from thirty-five product and service categories. Their process incorporates the use of unique analytic tools to generate ideas, optimize ideas, maximize brand relationships, measure ROI and report on campaign results.

I was an early team member responsible for backend reporting, iterative development of internal statistics engines as well as the automation of data analysis processes. This role also provided me with my first exposure to the world of startups, allowing me to shape and cultivate a unique culture of innovation, engineering excellence and customer satisfaction as the team grew both in size and scope due to rapid revenue and customer growth.
