Jeff Pierson is a technology executive, fund investor, and former public servant with a diverse professional background. He co-founded and currently serves as CEO of Zorro Bio, a promising venture that employs innovative nano chemistries to develop ultra-high sensitivity disease screening products for personal diagnostics applications. Prior to that, Jeff was the Associate Administrator for Investment at the US Small Business Administration, where he headed the significant Small Business Investment Company program and the Small Business Innovative Research program, providing funding for advanced research and development.

Additionally, Jeff held several senior-level positions in various companies such as Prudent Energy, ALTEC Energy Ventures, Bethesda Capital, and Pierson Capital Advisors LLC. He is also a former board member of Forward Edge AI and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Energy Storage Association.

Jeff earned his degree from Tufts University – The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and his undergraduate degree from Emory University. He has also studied at Sidwell Friends School. Jeff's expertise spans leadership, strategy and operations, entrepreneurship, private equity, venture capital, renewable energy, and government affairs.
