Adam Shevell
Adam Shevell is an experienced lawyer who advises technology companies and investors at all stages of company development. With a focus on complex technology transactions, Shevell has represented clients from startups to leading global technology companies and provides pragmatic and results-oriented legal and business advice. He specializes in critical intellectual property and contract issues, devising IP strategies, and open source software risk management for businesses in various industries, including FinTech, e-commerce, social media, digital health, and more. With clients worldwide, he focuses on helping Canadian firms expand into the US market. Shevell has been a speaker on intellectual property issues facing startups and complex technology transactions, and his clientele comprises notable public and private companies, late-stage private companies, startups, startup ecosystem institutions, and select investors in his clients. Before becoming a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Shevell was a senior associate at the same firm and an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. He studied law at the University of Toronto, an MS in the Politics of the World Economy at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BS in Environmental Science at McGill University.
